The child of a friend, I had the privelege of photographing this charming little man and his brother just before Christmas. He’s at the special age where he’s still enchanted enough with the camera that it doesn’t cause him to run in the other direction, like my son.
So, dear friends and readers…this new blog is my attempt at fulfilling a resolution to utilize at least a portion of the multitude of networking tools now available to business owners across the world. I hope you’ll be patient as I take the time to sort through the features that WordPress offers, as compared to my old blog-host.
Speaking of changes, as some of you may know, my husband and I recently bought a house. Our first ever. What a long road it’s been, let me tell you. After approximately 2.5 months in the new place, we still don’t feel moved in. I find it strange that I can hear my echo in the combined open space that is the dining and living room (however, this layout is certainly a perk with a near-two year old running around the house…he still hasn’t caught on that I can see him from the kitchen). Moving from a 700 square foot “camp” into a 2,000+ square foot home is quite the thrill, I must say. However pro-environment I am, and however conscious we are of our footprint in this world, there is much to be said for space, in every sense of the word. Though there are many many things I will miss about our cozy place in the woods with trails and lovely neighbors…I now have an office. Oh..what a joy! A space of my own!
Anyhow…the following posts will most likely pertaining to this new space, and all it’s different light. Everything from the way the light hits a drinking glass on the table in the early morning, to the dancing tree- shadows that reach across the floor in the afternoon…
